volunteer  - noun
a person who does something, especially helping other people, willingly and without being forced or paid to do it
volunteer - verb
to offer to do something that you do not have to do, often without having been asked to do it and/or without expecting payment

You could also volunteer to become a trustee of Nottinghamshire Women's Aid Ltd. Trustees meet once a month with the Head of Services to discuss and make strategic decisions around the management and operational running of the organisation.
