The Farr Centre

The Farr Centre is a safe women, young people and children only space that provides support, information, advice, guidance, training both educational and vocational in a wide variety of subjects to all women in the community especially those who are experiencing domestic abuse, poverty, unemployment and other changes to their lives. We enable women to develop skills through involvement in social activities, to become confident, self aware and assertive in order that they may take control of their lives through self-determination.

The Centre has a spacious training room which has the added advantage of being able to be partitioned into two smaller training rooms, three counselling rooms, a welcoming kitchen area where women can sit for a coffee whilst their children play alongside in addition to a purpose built playroom for children which is used for childcare for some courses run at the Farr Centre.  There is also office space for staff.

"On Cloud Nine" is an exciting group for women. Some of our aims are to reduce isolation, increase women's self esteem,  develop new friendships, promote our empowerment, share experiences and feelings and to support each other as the strong women we are.
"If you need us then we need you"
The group meets every two weeks on a Tuesday from 1.00 - 3.00 pm.
